My new project. Avon FRB 380

Picked this up today.

What do people rekon? I plan to tidy up the tubes and transom, and fit a 15hp 2 stroke. Just ordered some rib-revive from ribshop. I got alot of scrubbing to do.

Photos after a quick wash with fairy liquid.

Anyone know how to tell age from the seriel number?

Looks like fun!

Should be last 2 digits are year, though not sure it works like that on the newer stuff.

If thats the case, then the seriel number makes it 1990. Which sounds about right.

Yeh, was a bargain! Started sorting out the transom this evening. My bottle of rib revive should arrive tommorow, so hopefully it'll look even better tommorow evening.

If you find it has no punctures i may be interested. And if we can agree on a price of course.

had a look, and it looks like it needs 2 new valve diaphragms for the rear tubes, as these loose air and you can hear it coming from them... will probs buy a couple of repair kits and then see if it holds air. will let you know when its sorted.

Avon frb 380 for sale

Hi,
I'm afraid I, going to have to let my Avon frb 380 go..... Email me for details, needs a bit of work, but will be a bargain if you get it! I just don't have the time, or money to buy a 20hp outboard to go on it!
