If that turns out to be definitely 2000 or newer model then that's a good price for a clean or mint one... about right or a bit over price if medium to very untidy.

Very good engines, I've owned several.

Well that’s a good choice to have. Have you read the Yamaha 9.9 can be upped to 15hp in half an hour and no cost? If you bought it we can link to the process.

I guess in your position I’d choose based on proximity to you, how the seller comes across and history/condition.

Just a tip with the Yamaha, be wary of one where the grey paint is browned from overheating in the area of the cylinder head.
