New Boatworld 4m

I see Boatworld have a new 4m alloy floor SIB now for July delivery. £55 less than the Honwave, better looking and with a warranty one year longer. Almost 10kg lighter too. Oh and two seats as standard...no extra £100 for the second seat as with Honwave.

All credit to them expanding the choice for sibbers.

I know if I was in the market for a large ali floor Sib it would be very high up on my list.
I like the squared off front, provides a lot more internal floor space.

It's a bit of a lump though isn't it. Then paired up with a 30
They have a 2.8m ally floor now too.
Plenty of choice

Yes certainly for my daily setup from a car. The largest alloy floor I've owned was a 3.5m and I soon tired of setting that up daily.

But there is a market for those sizes and this is a welcome option.

I've inflated my new (and first) SIB four times now and I'm already getting tired of it lol. But the bit I get most tired of is getting it out of the cupboard under the stairs, where it must live, and trolleying it out to the car. I am employing all kinds of crafty half baked carpentry things and lifting methods to save my middle aged back.

But no chance of that changing so gotta just suck it up .

>>> the cupboard under the stairs

That's going above and beyond in the looking after it stakes. Although a guy on here a few years back did keep his in a rabbit hutch.

That's nothing - the outboard is kept in the porch .

Am renting, modern two up two down, no garage (loads of parking space though), crappy little shed with leaky roof. Could trailer the SIB and keep kit at sailing club with my sailing dinghies, but more trouble than it's worth 'cos 15 mile from my house. Could put a new shed in if I had a spare 300 quid, but I spent it all on boats , and I'm not keen on 2 grand of stuff, complete with trolleys to steal it with, in a shed.

I like the look of it - good weight too at 77kg.
When you say its a 'bit of a lump' are you meaning just to set up? I wonder how much more of a boat this would be to launch solo than my 50kg boat? From a not too steep slip/beach I mean...

I might be in the minority here but at 77kg for the boat, suitably sized outboard, fuel, wheels, kit etc you could be looking at 150kg....... it's a lump
I'm a manual worker and say its definitely a 2 man outfit

Definitely not in the minority Tommy. My SD360 is 58kg, 20hp Merc approx 47kg, with fuel and kit probably looking around 140kg in total. That's my limit, anything else is a lump!
