hello my first post, fairly new to sibs had one years ago always wanted another boat so got a zodiac 3.8 now a avon 4mtr with 15hp Yamaha hope soon to get a 25hp usually go out on Mersey from ainsdale ,looking forward to going on meets with other members.

yes an s400 a 1980s boat but in immaculate condition bought it on ebay with trailer goes well with the 15hp Yamaha but would like a 25hp for that extra bit of power.

I really like that model. I was underbidder on two different ones (3.4m size) earlier this year and still might see if I can drop on one at winter prices.

Agree re the engine. 15hp is great for a light to middle weight SIB but your Avon weighs enough (over 180lbs) to see a good improvement with a 20 or 25. As you are using a trailer the outboard weight isn't so crucial for you as those of us that have to lift from car to transom.
