Something like a 3m Avon Rib with transom wheels and about 10hp should see you blow away the speed limit .

See you have a Linder listed - watched one of those sink last week in the run - Good for in the harbour due to thier bomb proof build - but not so hot in the rough stuff in the run or to sea.

What were they doing with the Linder?! Although admittedly there was a fair bit of wind at times last weekend - did it just get swamped by multiple waves or something?

We have a similar aluminium SeaNymph for running around Poole Harbour, and have taken that out in all sorts of conditions, often fairly well loaded, and haven't yet felt uncomfortable/unsafe in it, even though I know it really is a lake/flat water boat. With careful steering and judicious use of power, I've managed to get it through most things without taking on much water.

Thanks for the replies guys, I,ll do a bit more research.Might have a mosey around RIBS marine as well the next time I,m down. We,ve done a fair bit of beach hopping inshore with the Linder, no great dramas so far although granted not the most stable in the rough stuff!.
