New SIB First Purchase

Below is my first ever SIB 3.3m i got this mainly to use with my mates boat to use as a tender for getting us back to shore and for a bit of fun in the summer but after reading some post on here and seeing your SIBS it sounds like i can have just about everything he has on his boat apart from a cuddy i know its a no namer and its PVC 0.9MM Thick but it looks good and feels good (mind you this was in the front garden when i took it out the box) i plan to use my mates 3hp till i get a bigger outboard (its rated up to 15hp) but i think 9 or 10hp will be fast enough.

Sib

Hi joebhoy18881977,

I have the same sib, i use a 7.5hp johnson outboard with mine. Its a great little sib and as for price you cant beat it. The ali floor is solid and they ride the waves no probs. The 7.5hp is more than enough power for this sib. i nearly flipped it at top speed lol. Great fun and i cant wait to fish off it.
Have fun.

Hi Joe

Congratulations & welcome to rib.net. That looks like a very handy boat - with a 9.9 hp (or lower) 2 stroke outboard you should be able to launch the boat from just about anywhere.
