This question has been asked many times and the simple answer is it is incredibly difficult if not impossible to plane with a 6hp and 2 people. Now if you can lay your hands on a Tohatsu 9.8 two stroke they are exactly the same weight as most 6hp 4 Strokes and will deffo plane with 2 people.

As for Sibs I would go with the Honwave T32 IE3 if you want to keep small.

Agree with SR. You do see the odd video of someone getting on the plane two-up with a 6hp on a 3m or thereabouts but to plane at will with two average weight adults needs an absolute min of 8hp added to a skimmy hull... ideally a 9.8 if a standard SIB.

If you already have the 6hp and want to keep that then investigate one of the better CAT-SIB type hulls which will give you the best chance. But even then to my mind a bit marginal.

If you want to keep to a standard SIB then the most efficient ones re speed vs HP I've owned were the very light air floor Zodiac models with flat floor and either sausage or HP keel.

Can't disagree with the above two comments. Under ideal conditions you may get on the plane, then drop off, then plane again, then drop off. In my opinion you will find it a PITA.
