New transom board

Hello all.

I've committed myself to replacing my wooden transom on my sib.
Removing, cleaning and building a new one no problem . .

While the task of gluing and putting it back together is within my skillset. I'm struggling with a few bits regarding glues/epoxy.

Working with PVC so gone for Polymarine's two part PVC adhesive here in the UK. I have a cleaner/primer for the PVC and as the PVC adhesive doesn't stick well with wood, I'm using the Hypalon adhesive to coat the wood first before using the PVC adhesive to stick it to the PVC as advised by Polymarine

I get in a muddle when it come to protecting my new marine ply transom. Do I leave bare wood for glue? or protect the whole thing? Should I -
A: epoxy the whole thing and just paint what's not covered with the PVC.
B: only epoxy and paint what's not covered by PVC.
C: epoxy and paint the entire board?

many thanks in advance
Edd

My aerotec transom wasn't coated where the glue lines are, I left it as it was and it's adhered well.
