Newby question

Hi all,
We are based in Long Eaton, on the Notts/Derbys border, (couldn't get much further from the sea!), does anyone have any suggestions for launching sites in the area to set up our 3.2 Honwave with a 10 hp Honda outboard? Had a quick look at Tallington lakes on the net, it doesn't seem to tick the right boxes though.

Have you tried www.boatlaunch.co.uk

If not then it might be worth a look

Boat launching

I've just been on the River Dee, it's really nice, you can get about 7 miles upriver from Chester on a SIB.
There's the usual speed limit of about 5mph and it costs a steep £20 for a day pass. I'm guessing an annual permit would be much more economical.
We actually saw the river patrol when we were there, although he did not seem interested in checking our permit. Perhaps he saw the sticker on the side of the boat.
There's a public slipway just outside the town with a large car park.
