North Devon beach launch

Hi I am lookin for a good spot for me and the kid while away to test out my sun sport 350NB inflatable (kayak) fitted with a 55lb trolling motor. I see it looks like woolacombe beach dont allow motorized craft launch. Anyone know any beaches a local drive from EX34 0PW Ilfracombe. Not looking for anything to serious and will be using paddles most of the time but want the motor on as backup.

cheers for any ideas

Appledore launch into the estuary? Public ramp at ilfracombe, would anyone on the beach at woolcombe notice you launch you up kayak and paddle out ? Then deploy trolling motor? Most restrictions are limits on trailers/cars if you can walk it to the sea very few restrictions may be a speed limit for all craft or a swimmers only area but stick to those and should be fine.

Cheers for that, yeah the wife said I was prob over thinking the no motorized craft bit to much. Will add appledore to my list. Was also looking at a place called Crow Point in that same stretch of water but on the northern shore which looks promising If they allow camper vans down the toll road.

RIBase
Appledore dries out but with your set up shouldn't be an issue - Instow the same to be honest, but has the sand beach to enjoy.

crow point will work too - but never looks at camper van access.
