Paint removal

Have a Suzumar 320 which the previous owner has painted with lettering 'Tender to..........etc'.Looks pretty naff. Any safe way of removing?

Start gentle and work up! Ie start with warm soapy water and rough rag and then say, white spirit before trying more powerful solvents - Isopoprol alcohol, acetone etc - maybe test on an unseen area first. A gentle abrasive pad will help - again try a worn washing up sponge first before getting too agressive.

I was able to take the painted "Surf Rescue" lettering off of my SIB with Acetone and a green 3M scotchbrite dish scrubby. Worked easily!

(hylpalon tubes, factory applied surf club lettering)
