Pairing a 90s mariner/yam 30hp 2 stroke with Honwave T38 inflatable floor.

I've picked up an earlier t38 v floor and have a selection of engines to try out on it.
I'm far from good water to test unless I travel so I'm wondering before hand what performance/dangers would be expected if I used a 50kg 30 hp 2 Stroke on the T38.

It does state that 20- 25 hp is the max but I understand these can be simply a basic restricted 30 hp unit.

Will I have any major problems with this combo?

I also have an 8 hp yam and a 15 hp mariner I could use and experience.

Will have at least 200kg wieght on board.

What is the sweet combo experience with these t38s.?

Cheers for any knowledge

Look on the transom for engine weight and go from there other people put bigger outboards on but it’s at your own fault if something happens plus your insurance won’t pay out if something was to happen 20hp is about the right size for that combo good luck with your setup whatever you decide HH

Our 2019 T38 was rated Max 25 hp but with a massive 83kg Max engine weight, so doubt you’ll have any problems. Honwaves have mega strong transom’s, big dia. tubes and extended floor tabs so lots of buoyancy for lardy motors without upsetting the balance.

Ran ours with a 20 horse 47 kilo modern efi four stroke but felt the hull eminently capable of handling more power.

I've yet to unroll the boat to check the wieghts but 83 kg on your plate is incouraging.
Insurance i guess is stuffed unless I restrict it some how as needed. But there's the engine plate.

Anyway, there's a pair of fins on top plate at the moment, what effect will these actually produce on such an air floor craft given it has the extended floor sections out the back of the transom.?
