Peli equivalent

Can anyone recommend anything for my essentials box.

Must be watertight and robust and not a flare box!

Cheers

Ian

Do you mean other than a Pelicase?

I bought a selection of them used from Fleabay and they've been excellent. 1400 probably fits your needs.

I still use BDH containers - superb, watertight and strong as.

Large enough for a selection of tools and spares, first aid kit, batteries.

Lets say 50cm x 50cm x 40cm deep.

If you go 1400, you'll fit a VHF in there too - also flares fit lengthways, rather than diagonally. As per my ebay linky above. They're simply Primo.

I've got an Explorer case 2717... bought for a knock down price at the boat show, got back and filled it up with water....and out the water came

To be fair though, they do have a lifetime warranty so it was duly sent back and the seal replaced with a much better one though I still don't think the hinge is quite right.

I'll post a pic when I've finished kitting it out but it is along the lines of Willk's just with not as much first aid stuff or flares because they have their own dedicated containers since we are less space constrained than on a SIB
