My last boat, Chris Craft Concept 19, got a set of Bennett trim tabs. The Bennett support team was great. I went one size larger than recommended knowing I could trim them down to the smaller size.
They had a huge effect. If I set them to 100 % down at 15 mph I could dig in the bow. At 40% I could stay almost flat at takeoff and wouldn’t have to adjust till 20 mph. Perfect for wakeboarding.
On the bad side if I adjusted the outdrive any from fully tucked in it would porpoise when the tabs were up. So my top speed went down 4 mph. Because I no longer could trim the bow up. But it was worth it.
I can’t wait to hear how well auto trim tabs work.
