Proper steering cable length for GR MK11

Hoping someone can recommend the proper length of steering cable needed to rig up a MK 11. I plan to have the console just behind the bow cover.

Any pictures of DIY consoles you folks have would also be greatly appreciated, so feel free to post. Im completely open to ideas.

The Steering cable should be a standard size and easily sourced, for the MKII, can't remember the size on my HD MKII, its been a few years since I owned it, what console you going to use, is it standard or are you making your own

I will be building my own console, more of a front bench with a wheel attached affair. I will be ordering all the bits I need online so no recommendations from the supplier....

I am guestimating I need a cable that is about 9 to 10 feet long. Does that sound about right?

Well my dad dropped by today with an unexpected gift. A complete 10' teleflex steering kit including a steering wheel.
