Mine still works but I got garbage in it and had to pull it apart. For the money, I expected better build quality. Not much else out there better though.

There is a Chinese HP clone out there - not much cheaper at retail but if we were all to get together for a direct group purchase from the Asia wholesaler...always thought the Bravo were very overpriced for what they are...

Loonasea, what pump are you having problems with? We sell a lot of Bravo products and rarely see any problems.
The new BTP pump is the long term replacement for the BST and is really well built

I bought one of these ten years ago, it's never been looked after and chucked about from one boat to to the next over the years but still works as well today as the day I bought it.

I have the same and can confirm that this pump works great ! It works already SO LONG so great that I cannot remember where I bought it - nor I can read somewhere on the housing something about the manufacturer .. ((

Don't even consider buying a Rule pump.
Broke second time I used it (warranty period expired), took it apart and was shocked at what complete garbage it was made out of!

Plus one for that sentiment. I gone thru to many especially rulematic complete utter waste of time and money. Better of with strait pump and float switch

We had a Rule inflator, which worked very well. However as it's just a motor with an impeller on the end it shouldn't give much trouble really.
But it wasn't inflating our Zodiac SIB properly, it's supposed to have 3.4psi in the tubes but it was only achieving about 2psi (although it was very fast at inflating the boat)
I now have a Bravo dual action pump which is slower, but does achieve 3.4psi and the boat is much better in the water.
I did not know it was not being inflated properly with the Rule pump as it seemed OK.... until I went on the sea and the boat was banging over waves, so I checked the pressure.

No impeller pump can create much pressure above 1psi, only a piston pump can give HP.

I was not told this when I bought the impeller pump, it was sold to me as suitable for inflating my boat.

We just bought a Zodiac Futura, though it had a tube valve problem, then bought a Bravo 9 foot pump, awesome, suppied one now in bin! For the amount of pumps to inflate the tubes why would you need an electric one ( unless its a very big boat of course).
