Quick (ish) advice needed.

Currently own a 3.3m with plywood floor.
And a 9.8hp outboard

I want a easier to assemble boat and have found a 3.8m aerodeck.

First question. Will 3.8m with a flat air deck floor and sausage keel be to wollowy and like a airbed at sea?

Secondly. My current 9.8 isn't moving out of my ownership for a few more seasons. It easily powers my 3.3 but will it do the same for a 3.8m

And thirdly. Weight. I can't find weight for my boat or the one I would like. Do you think a air deck 3.8m will be lighter than a 3.3m wooden deck?

The Airodeck I think (from an old Plywood deck..Tender?) will be a step up...although maybe not a Huge one!..In all departments

But yes it has a plywood floor with aluminium stringers. Feel solid once put together. Putting together is a right old task every weekend. And isn't comfortable on the bottom at all.

This is what I'm looking at buying. One in this country.
Obviously it's no honwave or zodiac but for its money less than half of those.

I'm happy with the build quality from my silver bullet which again isn't a well known make.

Oh and my reason for quick in the title is the advert ends Sunday for this particular boat 😁

Very likely and a huge risk with a brand that doesn't have any owners on here... as far as I know. That's very long for a flat air floor to stay flat.

I wonder what you'll be paying for the Hydroforce? The benchmark in this size is the Honwave V air floor 3.8m at £999.

Not as bad as an air bed, but it's going to be markedly more wobbly than your current boat. The heavier you load it, the faster you go and the bigger the sea the more noticeable it will be.

I had a 3.1m flat air deck SIB and with three people on board in smallish waves the floor undulated quite alarmingly. It wasn't dangerous, but was weird and affected the performance quite badly as the boat kept dropping off the plane. A 3.8 is likely to be worse.

Lightly loaded on the flat it should cope OK, but will have nothing in reserve.

Probably, but I wouldn't bank on it!

Re weights I've looked around and sadly one issue with a little known brand is getting accurate info. Taking your 3.3 ply floor I've found figures between 62 and 65.5kg but on Amazon for example it says the boxed carriage weight is lighter than just the boat... so who knows.

We had a similar boat at work flat air floor and sausage keel bought it simply for the same reason as you quick build not a patch on a solid floor IMO save your money or buy one of the light weight Ali floor ribs that fold up like a surf board and get better performance

Currently the hydro force is £400 new with no bids. That's why I'm interested. But if it won't handle well it's not worth it. Don't know what to do now.

I want a air floor. But love the solid feel of the ply & Ali floor Sibs. 😂

If you really want an air floor for the ease of moving about but want to keep to a budget I'd look at an old Aerotec (looking hard for glue issues on the old ones) or a not so old Honwave 3.8... and if you want to go for a flat air floor look for a Zodiac 340 or 360 flat air floor with the high pressure keel.
