Quicksilver Air deck series

Hi all

Anyone got a quicksilver air deck inflatable? If so, how do you find them- are they well made etc? I'm trying to narrow my choice down for an inflatable to run with a 4 stroke 9.9 mariner. Currently looking at a few....honwave, zodiac fast roller 360 and quicksilver air deck 340.

Any advice appreciated:-)

Hi,

I have a White Quicksilver 340 Airdeck. As a spare so I launch where there is no local slipway for the rib, (NW-Scotland).
I have used it with a 6hp Engine , which is only Just enough to plane it with me and my youngest on board , I think a 9.9 would suit one quite well, with 2 on board.
Build quality is Very Good. and overall package Quite Light and easy to transport.

That's about all I have to Say . (Which is a bit unusual)

I have one (quicksilver 340 air deck) with a Mariner 15 2 stroke on and it goes very well even with 3 large adults in it planes easily, only issue is floor moves a bit when getting on the plane, but all in all a good little boat and well made and fun

I have a Quicksilver 310 air-deck for sale. It has never been used. Also have lots of accessories, plus brand new 4Hp engine. Just about to start process of gathering info and taking photos for ebay etc.

The three brands you mention are the most popular and well made of the more 'premium' boats and will hold their value secondhand. Also look at Yam and Suzumar. Like many here I always advocate going second hand - preferably for a package that someone else has taken the massive initial depreciation hit on. Buy well and you will not lose a penny if it turns out not to be right for you.

Lots of outfits like this appear weekly on eBay, Gumtree or Friday Ad etc, just a case of finding the right one in the right place and going and viewing - *never buy unseen*. One example here is a heck of a lot for the money and a fraction of the new price:

Quicksilver inflatable & outboard in Aberdeenshire | Boats, Kayaks & Jet Skis for Sale | Gumtree.com

Airdecks are great - very light and convenient but even at max correct pressure they are *not* the same as a rigid floor and will give a little and oscillate at higher speeds.
