Quicksilver Sport 3.2 Ally Deck or Zodiac Cadet 3.1?

Hi - looking at a new SIB at the moment - choice I'm currently on is either the Quicksilver Sport 3.2 or Zodiac Cadet 3.1 - both in the ally deck versions.

Putting the £300 or so price difference aside - does anyone have a view on either.

The Zodic looks lighter - 40kg v 54kg for the Quicksilver.

Is there much difference in the materials used / build quality? I'm also interested in general durability and any transom issues (eg they are prone to rot quicker than expected).

I also see the Quicksilver has some spray flaps (?) horizontally between the tubes and transom - they look like they will get in the way of my launching wheels - which I'll need to fit - but I assume I can just slice those off if needed - they don't look to be structural.

Cheers!

I was looking at the same Quicksliver 3.2 Sport as an option. Can you tell me where you saw the 'flaps'?! That's not something I noticed in the pictures...
Thanks

I see them on the Airdeck 320 but not the Sport for some reason.

The guy in the boat shop I asked questioned the stated weight on the Zodiac - implying they had understated it - he seem to think they were broadly similar....not sure what to make of that.

Ah - you said in your original post you were looking at a Quicksilver Sport 3.2 - the 'Sport' is the Alu deck version which doesn't have those flap/guards - see here:

... the link you posted is for the Air deck.
