Repairing avon s400

Hi folks
the boat i sold to my friend has now got a nice big gash in the side due to stupidity.
He has sent off and got Bostik 2402 glue to do the repairs and already has the patches etc.
The problem now is that the instructions with the glue say to use Bostik m501 to clean the area to be glued etc.

We have not been able to buy the Bostik m501 cleaner in small quantity and are now trying to find a substitute for the bostik cleaner etc.

Is there a good cleaner that is able to be used for this or are we now up a gum tree.

Most places seem to only sell the cleaner in 5 litre cans , we only need about 250ml of the cleaner.

any help or advice on what to use or where to get something suitable will be great.

Thanks guys

nice quick reoplies that will be a great help.

now just have to get some stuff then back on the water for his next escapade.

watching him make so many cock ups is so funny, especially when whatever i tell him not to do he does.

good learning curve for him i reckon.

thanks again for the info.

Were you able to get fabric in the original Avon grey? I can't find it in the USA.

How did the boat get cut?

Always is with new boaters.

Good thing you're there to assist (whether or not it's accepted.)
