Replacement stringer sections
Been doing up an old but gold Zodiac 2250 and finally got it on the water today.
Im very happy with how it turned out. All the tubes including the keel stayed rock solid for 3 hours and she performed very well all round.
Initially the deck boards gave a few creekes and squeaks as they straightened themselves out into the stringers.
And this is where I had my only problem. The deck board and stringers might not be original. The sections of the stringers are made of different materials.
The deck boards are hardwood
The small rear sections are hard wood
The largest sections are aluminium
and the 2x front sections are made of a composite material (a kind of strong but not very durable dense foam (see pic)
I have looked online and have seen them for over $100 from the US (plus I always get stung for the import taxes).
So does anyone know where I can get them in the UK or even better do any of you lovely (UK people) have any that I can buy off of you (I don't need the whole lot just 2 sections of 600mm or more if that helps). Preferably Aluminium but if not hard wood.
