Replacing Zodiac Valves

I have an older fastroller and cant stand the valves! When inflating the hose always comes loose unless i m actively holding the hose to the valve.

Is there a way i can change out the valves for non zodiac valves?

Ideally i want these valves.

Thanks

Yes, you just have to cut them all out, and glue doublers in.

Are you using the correct adapter tip?

My local zodiac dealer said that zodiac does not sell adapters for this valves so sold me a generic adapter kit, the adapter does fit inside the valve but always comes out. Is this behavior common for the zodiac valves since they aren't locking like the one in the pic i posted?

when you say cut them all out, do you mean i have to cut all the PVC surrounding the valve in order to get it out? There's no easy unscrew and re-screw in new valve?

I've owned older, middle age and new Fastrollers... the adaptor has always stayed in the valve.

Do you have an image of your existing valves and the adaptor/s you are trying to use?

I dont have any pictures of the valves, its for a 2004 Fastroller 340 so i think they are pretty standard.

As for the attachment i'm using, its just a standard adapter with no locking mechanism. slide that into the valve but it never stays.

** It looks nothing like the adapter at the 11:30 position. **

It was recommended by my zodiac dealer.

Multi-adapters are junk.

You need a CL16 coupler: Zodiac Valve Adapter

///

Yes, cut all of the PVC out. The hole size and interior/exterior donuts are welded in place, and are unique to Zodiac.

The female piece on the interior of the boat is only removable by cutting.

Valves are not compatible with each other.

zodiac valves

The correct adaptor should be readily available. I know I keep a couple dozen in stock . You definitely do not want to go cutting into an airfloor to change a valve. Most quality footpumps be it a Zodiac pump or the common bravo pumps have the same size end fitting which fits directly into the valve Zodiac used on their air floors. Here is a photo of the correct adaptor for many of the Zodiac valves used in the tubes since the early 90's.

The floor uses the CL20 adapter, which Zodiac does not sell separately.

I would recommend simply buying a Z60979 pump, and then you'll have the right pump and adapters.
