They do come up on eBay occasionally (see previous posts) but I think the days of RNLI releasing direct have long gone though stand to be corrected - more on this in the 'Y Class show and tell' topic. Big old boats to launch and handle though, you'll need a small crew ideally...

I haven't really done *too much* the sponsons mainly just needed a clean up, no repairs. A new plywood floor as the RNLI composite floors aren't available often. I've been doing it all on an extremely tight budget all the way along.

Well... up until I splashed out on brand new Raymarine electronics and an Em-Trak AIS.

Smallribber - they come up every now and again on 'ex inshore lifeboats' group on Facebook as HG Marine sell them off as the RNLI approved reseller. I think they've mainly got the last of the EA16 boarding boats and a handful of IB1s at the moment.
