can anyone tell me what the second tell tail is for on my exrnli 40hp mariner only dribbles and not all the time? Also there are two circular patches under the boat and two larger ones at the rear they look purposely cut in to the floor any idea what they are for, I can tell you when the patches give out the boat doesn't pick up and the long drive back involves some wet feet!

Can you trace the hose back? If I remember correctly, they have a cooling hose on the top of the carb.. Could be that?

Just got back from getting my first Y class. Has some fading but in great condition really. Had a quick go on the faded parts with some fairy power spray it really is great stuff! Going to be doing some work on this stay tuned. Cheers Alex from Custom RIB.

Well done - that should come up very nice.
It is odd how some have the cut down transom and some don't - there must have been a decision made at the RNLI at some point to do this mod but wonder why? AFAIK the Avon models all used the same Mariner 15.
Have you got an engine lined up?

Looking for some photos and help. Going to make a mat for the floor in the Y class. Does anyone have any phones of how it should look? I've bought a 2m x 1m by 50mm thick crash mat. Any help is great.
Cheers
-Harry

Harry, if you still need dimensions I have one in the garage and can measure and let you know the plan.

Well, five long years after starting all this I'm finally in the club.
These things don't quite pack down as small as other SIBs...
