It can't be a mistake even if you end upgrading in size later on. The boat would be around £1500 to replace new and used the outboard alone would make around £500 on Ebay plus you've got the wheels, elec pumps etc. So as I said previously it's a great deal to get started.

Will seem quite stable and roomy after a kayak too.

Boat doesn't look that old... last digits of the serial number plate on the outside of the transom will tell you.

Does the 12v pump have the ability to take the air floor to full pressure? For decent performance this is important and ideally you should re-check pressures once it's been on the water a few mins.

Be interesting to hear how your first trip outside the living room goes.

One of your points was gonna be my next question. Regarding pressure side tubes and front are saying 3psi
Air floor 11psi

Now I think in my reading from this site that a pressure gauge can be obtained, but I'm not seeing in my simple head how this would work, cause these valves are 1 way, i.e like how the Boston valves worked on our kayaks. Or am I missing something?
I've not tried to fully inflate bit the 240 certainly does the job, not tried the others. But foot pump does work as does the 12 volt.
I'll check the plate on the transom for age once I unroll it and roll up again correctly. As per YouTube video. Best learning place on the planet. Lol.

Ideally I'd love to get out on it today just for a little potter about. But it's pouring down ATM. Hopefully it stops. There again it's only rain. Used to getting a bit wet on the kayak.
Given that I have no pressure gauge is there a rough estimate as to how hard the sides should be by touch
And more so how hard the air floor should be? Until I get the gauge.
Or is guessing not recommended?

The pressure in the main tubes is not the issue. Just pump those up until they feel quite stiff. If you slap them with your hand they should ring a little. If the main tubes are a little under pressure that will not matter.

With the Air floor 11 psi is a lot and this is important although nothing will break if it is under and with your motor £6hp) you will most likely not get on the plane and this is when the pressure in the floor is more important.

If there is a Decathlon anywhere near you or a tent shop they usually sell nice pumps with built in pressure gauges that go to 11 psi something like this

You will need a battery for this one

Make sure the ends fit your valves.

You could go out and buy it in the rain and when you return the sun might be out

Some stand-alone gauges have a "tab" that opens the valve a little as you put them on to get an instant reading. However even if they don't the Zodiac valves should let by a little (the caps are the final seal) so the gauge will usually give a reading after a few seconds.

Don't any of the pumps have a gauge?

We've had decades of Scottish holidays... many with a SIB or other boat... and came to the conclusion rain was part of the mix north of the border!

I forget exactly but it's something like the last 4 digits are month and year of build and model year so it could be a 2017 model built in 2016... or vice versa. But either way still a great deal.

I think the 2 styles of craft have very different advantages & disadvantages. They suit different purposes imo.
