I can't remember how narrow/steep/large/slippy the steps were - but lifting a casualty up a very steep slope/wall/cliff is the work of the CG Cliff Rescue team not lifeboat crew.

Like I said it was a low seawall, the steps went into shot briefly and they were nothing like 'narrow/steep/large/slippy', they were just a short run of beach steps leading to a pavement the other side of the sea wall ( and the ambulance
), and as I also said in my earlier post, every emergency service known to man was in attendance ( probably inc the CG ).
It certainly left me and my partner with the impression that the lifeboat was utilised unnecessarily - maybe for TV? only they know, think at the time we we're chuckling at the choice of rescue route. I guess the episode is on the iplayer for you and all to make your own mind up
But I will say a little poetic license is used on more than one occasion during the shows - IMHO
