Seadek

Haven't been on Ribnet for a while but since I'm getting ready to put my sib back into the water thought I'd catch up with everyone. On that note, I do have a question regarding this product I have been reading about. The product is called Seadek, it is a self adhesive 3M Closed cell EVA foam sheet which when applied to the floor of the boat has some unique properties. I find the aluminium floor in the Zodiac is great but things tend to slip and slide around. I have used nets, straps etc. Has anyone used this product? The reviews are quite positive.
Thanks
FD

Yes I have. I have had it on a couple of boats, not ribs or sibs, but have templated my rib for it as I really like it.

Soft underfoot and nice to kneel and sit on.

Go for it. The floor on my old SR6 was Seadeked. I loved it. I plan to do my SR7 floor in black. The stuff also does good on the tubes too.

Thanks

Thanks tworotorturbo, I'm definitely getting some, great idea about the tubes since the FC530 can get a little hot under the sun.
Thanks

I covered the floor of my Commando C4 with it. One sheet can cover all the Al floor panels. I am thinking of getting another sheet to do the front wooden panels and for the top of a storage box. Stuff is great and durable. I got the aqua cammo

Perfect!

Hey, thanks MT Dweller, as soon as I get back to San Diego I'm getting myself a sheet of the Saedek and putting it in the boat. Can't wait. I've been watching the videos on the website on cutting and surface prepping. It seems the surface has to be cleaned with ammonia based cleaner. As for the cutting and surface area I think one sheet will do. Thanks for confirming this further.
I will post some pictures when I have put it in.
