Seating in a F-Rib 275

Hi all. Hope you're enjoying the weekend and able to get out for a splash sometime.
I'm taking my son out tomorrow on my wee F-Rib 275 with a fitted F-Rib bow canopy and this will be the first time an extra person has been in the boat. What's the best sitting positions in relation to weight distribution with 2 up. It's only got the one bench so one of us will be sitting on the tube. Only a 6hp so won't be flying. What do others with small RIBs find is best.

Hi Geegus..I have a 2.75 F Rib and 6 HP for a numbere of years. I find it best by myself as it can easily plane assuming I sit well forward. Depends how heavy the pair of you are but if he is a wee lad I would sit him on the seat next to me. Not much room for two big folks in such a wee boat..so just do what you find most comfortable for yourselves

Thanks Donny. I've really enjoyed your YouTube videos. That was definitely the inspiration I needed to finally get a boat sorted (not much ribbing since my navy days back in the 90s and 00s) Now live in Inveraray so Loch Fyne, Loch Etive and Loch Awe all very close by. Usually a solo ribber so not sure how it'll handle the both of us. Like you go out for the scenery and exploring in a leisurely manner. Give me a shout if you ever fancy a wee flotilla of 2 f-ribs.

Shift your both your weight forward as possible until you plane.

Once you're planing , sit wherever you feel most comfortable.
