Short shaft

Just to test my sib out,was thinking of using my 3.3 mariner o/b,yes i know i won t be planning and doing amazing speeds,,,,,,just wanna test her for water tightness when done, and a possiblely a little trip to my very close inshore mark,,,,,,,,,,,,its short shaft ,what ya reckon,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,will it do?here's the transom, not in this state now as previously shown just more appropriate pick to show the depth of the transom, looking at it ,think it may fit it?remember i will be having a lighter made floor as well

It'll move, that's about it. We have 5hp on a 2.3m dinghy, that's fun.

It looks like a short shaft transom, but hard to tell. How deep is it?

I reckon your 3.3 will push it-slowly. I'd have to be pretty confident of the conditions before I'd fish with 3.3hp on there though.

Hi ya mate ,we go out when we can pending weather and the 3.3 pushs along the 2.70 sib ,pretty much well with anchor rope an big tackle box, bout 18lb of dead fish the other week, lol. on the bigger one yes it will be slow, seen a few use 3.3 on 18foot hard boats as axcillaries ,don t know how well they push em tho, must have a lot of trust,we never go out with winds over 6mph,,,,,,,never anything with north in it either, has to be a flat sea state, have to see ,will have to do some more private work ,lol,so as to get me a bigger engine CHRIST THE PRICE OF O/BOARDS,,MY WIFE IS GONNA KILL ME ,FOR SPENDING ANYMORE ON BOATS,LOL

What's the max it's rated to mate?It may be easier finding a 20hp if it's rated for it.

There's a 9.9 for sale in the small ads mate. If it's good it'd do you nicely.
