SIB floor attachment holes ?

I have an Avon Supersport S4-60 with an aluminum floor. Can someone tell me what these holes might be for? I'd guess seat attachment but they're 8.25" on center which isn't a standard seat size as far as I can tell. (Please excuse the dirty floor. )

Welcome to the board

The nutserts were added in, but we don't even know the location of them on the floor so very hard to determine what a previous owner used them for. Could have been a seat, or battery mount, or fishing gear, or... The other U hold down was also added in. Possibly for a fuel tank or...

I suppose context would be helpful. The holes are on the starboard side, almost all the way forward where the aluminum flooring ends and the wooden bow insert is. A previous owner added hold-downs and battery-strap mounts in the midsection and rear. My first guess would have been for a seat, but the distance between the holes seems to not match with seats.

Related question - how can I figure out what size bolts would fit in the holes?

what size bolts fit? trial and error, or measure with ruler/vernier and try different thread sizes.

Probably for fuel tank, as up front to balance...
