Sib on Bewl Water?

Hey guys, summer seems like its arrived and im looking forwards to getting my Sib on the water for almost the first time!

My question is does anyone know if you can take a Sib onto Bewl Water in the south east. I found the seas very choppy and i thought it might be a good chance to get to grips with it, and try some waterskiing in calm waters.

I looked on their webby and couldnt see anything mentioned - will give them a call and update tommorrow if nobody knows!

From their website it sounds like they are sailing, rowing and angling boats only.

It's a bit of a trek from Brighton (but then I guess Bewl Lake is too), but I was recommended (by the good folks on here) to try the top end of Southampton Water (near Eling) where there is a water-ski area. Launch site here:

Cheers

Haven't been to Bewl Water for 20 years, but have very poor memories of it.

Hired a boat with outboard with my Dad for some fly fishing. Managed (through ignorance) to drift into a forbidden area near the fish pens, which they hadn't told us about when we hired the boat.

A warden type came steaming out on his boat and was incredibly rude. Instead of just talking sensibly and asking us if we knew the rules and could we move on, ranted on and told us we had to come in straight away. Vowed never to go back, and never have.

Maybe if you're a member and part of the scene it's ok.
