SIB Outboard Questions

I am hoping to get a SIB in the next couple of weeks, got around £350 to get a sib & outboard. Probably going for something around the 3m mark capable of 10-15HP.

1). What are the approx weights of 4HP, 6HP, 8HP, 10HP & 15HP 2 stroke outboards?

2). Whats the best 2 stroke outboard to go for, probably going to be quite old, seen alot of johnstons, yamaha, mercurys. Whats the best or most reliable?

Hello their,i have a 2.7 meter seago ranger and a 6hp tohatsu 4 stroke total wieght around 51kg,good luck on your search

Bottom must have really fallen out the boat market if you can get a 3m sib and running engine for £350.

yeah been watching some on ebay, saw a 3.1m zodiac with a yamaha stroke 4hp go for around £350, also saw a YAM330 with a Yamaha 4hp stroke go for around £350. Also saw a bombard tropik 3m with a 4hp go for around £275. Granted alot of these are quite old boats and engine, but will do what i want them to do.
