I missed out on the Thames SIB trip last year but everytime I go over the QE2 bridge I think that's one I would still love to do if any SE Sibbers want to get together?

OK, I've stickied this thread and as people come up with some more specific plans we can start individual threads in the Upcoming RIB cruises section.

redcliffe farm looks good, not far from me.
do you launch into fresh water (ie do you need to flush engine after a day out)
Poole to Iow (Yarmouth?) how long does that take, how much fuel (obviously dependent on engine size/boat but give me an idea)

Its salt water. Iow can be done in a couple of hours give or take but the jurassic coast is quite nice bays to explore and stop in poole habour is also good to explore can get busy though

i did the broads last year

not many public launching places most have closed
if you launch from the bank you can get fined £120 if caught

a week ticket is £27 minimum you can buy no 1 day tickets any more

most slips are private you pay anything from £10 to £25 to launch

it dose get busy and the river police have radar guns you get fined for speeding 4mph limit

wroxham and the northern broads are the better ones
most people launch from wroxham broad get there early as parking soon fills up £6 a day for car

enjoy

Thanks for the advice - Your right about the Northern broads.

We found a Parish council slipway with honesty box last year. We are insured and will get the necessary license
