Right now I have a mid '90s Mercurey Classic 25hp 2 stroke, which should move it along just fine while under reasonable loads. Once I get the Gemini Dive 470 in, I'd love to get my hands on a Tohatsu/Nissan M 50 D tiller model, though they are rarer than hen's teeth in North America and are now about to be unobtainable in Europe too... Something about them being the cause of polar ice caps melting
I like the weight of the Tohatsu/Nissan, it seems that everything else (especially all the newer DIs & 4 strokes) are 50-85 pounds heavier. Hauling a 155 lb outboard down the narrow steps to my basement (with a hand truck of course), is no problem, but doing that with a + 200 pound outboard, I'd need someone else to help all the time.
