I nearly did the same Max... thought it would meet the needs of so many who have posted on here this year about getting that type of combo.

Thanks a lot Max it’s very difficult to gauge how much things are worth but I’ll hold out for the asking price in the ribs for sale section here. It is a nice solid boat that sits on the plane very nicely. Cheers 🍻

Thanks also Fenlander. i was lucky enough to pick up one of the recent Aerotecs with the same engine for 2k. Both boat and engine are like new with not a mark on either. Took it out on Cardiff Bay yesterday and it’s a staggeringly good boat: so light and easy to carry too. My pump didn’t get above 4psi so probably didn’t get the best from it either. I also tried it with my (absurdly heavy) 20hp 2 cylinder Mariner of the same era but both yielded 17 knots once we realised the lack in performance of the 15 was due to the launching wheels being down

Has the Futura gone or do you have that too?

Good stuff- not sure anyone has bought an Aerotec and been disappointed - once again (as posted in the 'Medway' topic) last week in bad conditions I was so impressed with the way these BATs handle rough seas.

FWIW the Yam 360/15 outfit I had made over £2k when I split it a few years back - £1150 Yam engine, £550 boat and £350 trailer so definitely hold out for more if you can!

That knackered Futura isn’t mine . I will be selling a nice 3.8m Futura MK1 with that 20hp engine and a trailer soon though for £1850

I mainly use it overseas without a trailer and the boat, engine and floor are all heavy and bulky plus I have an empty trailer on my drive. I regret not buying a friends aerotec ages ago and bought this on impulse after having a low offer accepted. I’ll post the Futura once I’ve cleaned it.

Ah yes... similar core reason to our choice. The Aerotec is the best smallcraft for us that will roll up to a bendy package to fit in the car.

420s don't come up that often and if you can lift that 25hp OK... plus with all the kit included... that has the possibility of being a decent outfit.

Those 2 cylinder engines are too heavy for use without a trailer imo. Plus he’s raised the transom to compensate for the long shaft. incidentally (off topic) do people use bungees to fasten the fuel tank on aerotecs?

They are certainly too heavy for me!

The Aerotec 420 was made to take a longshaft so his mod (quite neat I thought) will be to tune the height to avoid splash I guess.

Yes I use bungees for the fuel tank... decent ones not pound shop.

Great little outfit or good chance to get a perfect SIB engine at least - depends where price goes of course but could be cheap...

Accrington - why is it all 'oop North?

That T32 with the remote controls has been re-listed at what looks like a give away price - but it is in Aberdeen :O https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honwave-T....c100290.m3507

Grrr,

On one hand that's an interesting outfit... but on the other...

The OB is old school and has nowhere near the desirability or value of a 2000-on Mariner/Mercury/Yamaha. Also it has been tarted up and never used since... white overspray on the fuel connector and ID label.

Remotes are a waste of space on a SIB that size.

The rollers are the wrong support for a SIB and you can see they are digging into the tubes.

The fish finder is out of a Christmas cracker.

My first SIB, still have a soft spot for these - superb little fun boats and really light:

And this is something different, OK not an inflatable but still a soft boat and had to share it as a bit quirky which we all love - this guy has obviously enjoyed building it I'm sure:
