V floor went for peanuts.
Didn't bother bidding as was to far away, it made about £280 the first time then was back on the next day, never seen this make Model before, bit like my v floor Waveline wonder what the crack was with these Chinese v floors?
Probably about right. Price on these has been £1000 to £1150 for years now for a decent mid/late 2000's model so take £100 off say for bargaining and that's what a last of line 2 smoke 9.8 Tohatsu or 15 Yam/Merc/Mariner goes for.
>>>missed out on one of those local to me for £550.
I never have but I know folks do now and again get them very cheap. Get a guy who has one for a river dinghy... no real interest in boating and doesn't research... then £500-£700 probably seems about right for a 12yr old 9.8.
I've talked to a couple of Tohatsu dealers recently and... how shall I say... they are pro-active in mentioning how "broad" the range of commercial uses might be to sell you one.... and one dealer even routinely has them in stock.
They are pricing them about the same (£1650-£1700) as a new Tohatsu 4-stroke 9.8 and I do wonder given how low tech the 2-stroke is whether there is much more profit in them at that price?
