If you were willing to buy that old Avon outfit I think any perceived Honwave quality issues (which were almost always on the air floor models) would pale into insignificance.

Think ill pass on the ebay listing then and be patient with something more suitable 😊 it's for myself, Mrs and two under 5s so I suppose anything more than a 20HP would be overkill really.

Looks like it might have spent a bit of time outdoors. Having heard all of the good reviews I am tempted to try one, but I don't know if the floor lends itself for fishing.

Sadly it is another tired looking one which seems to be mainly what's on offer now. That air floor looks to have PVC browning not just dirt... and there is possibly a hint of that on the tubes. And he's taking off the OE transom wheels which is an absolute pain and a bit out of order in my book.
Seller knows his boats... a round Britain powerboater and rib seller going back a few years.

There has been precious little on eBay over the last month or so but this is one of interest as it might be a punt for someone over the winter:

Yep on the other thread re this Aerotec I mentioned concerns it had been badly glued in the past perhaps with an unknown glue type which could be more trouble to remove than it’s worth. I think I’d do the decent thing like The Gurnard when his SIB aged… cut it up for its material and fittings.

The Honwave with trailer and lots of bits when for the 'old' price these sort of outfits used to reach (£1700 - £1900) except you'd get a 15 not a 6 BITD for that.

Wheels and oars possibly worth the cost - you could then re-list the boat again!

Used to be able to add to this topic daily but the lack of outfits compared to the old days is striking. This only has a 6 but a reasonable outfit and Yam SIBs are good solid boats.

Yes the availability and prices of used SIB outfits remains daft. In our earlier days on here you'd pay less than that for an Aerotec with holy grail 15hp 2-stroke, elec inflator, transom wheels etc.
Here is an example of current excess...
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/304059420...0AAOSwAoRg5sam
A used Honwave T35 with 15hp Honda and trailer for £4750 claiming it's a £7000 outfit. Just looked and I could put that lot together for £4728 brand new.
This period is a time when buying new makes some sense because the new/used margins are so small.

Worth a look at possible old school price. Not sure if long shaft was correct on the big Honwaves??

Mint looking 10hp 4st.
Could be easy fix, could be major issue.

Shame he bought the old Honwave wheels, but not a bad price for what is practically new kit.
