Lovely boats and very rarely for sale, even compared to Y's.

I didn't know the exact floor construction until looking at your spec link. I'm assuming as not pictured it's missing. Bit of a project if so but a ply/closed cell foam sandwich should be doable.

Mind you less of a V than the Aerotec and 50% heavier so actually one would be no better in practice but the idea appeals to try one.

If it was nearer me I'd give it a go for the interest... but will leave it to one of our northern members.

The floor is pretty specialist:

You know 'that' video, the one I've posted 532 times on here?!

Max that pdf should be essential reading for sibbers old and new... literally everything from setting the boat up through beach launching to rescues. Excellent.

Still think making a floor to function with maybe lower tech laminate method is doable.

Yes, it's good isn't it. I don't remember seeing it when Arancias were last discussed - five years ago??

Check this too:

As you say... we hardly see them used these days. Looks tidy enough and good to have OE wheels plus bow bag. Outboard a bit of a lump at near 50kg.

Subject to inspection the one in Newcastle that's already had a transom re-glue might be safer at those ages.

The one that's been re-glued, what do people think of that job? It looked a bit to me like they had just built up some extra layers over the top, rather than proper stripping down and re-gluing.

I suppose its difficult to tell, they might have put down extra reinforcement after a full strip. It would be good to see an invoice to see a description of what exactly was done.

No that's what the various layers look like on an Aerotec. Less neat than original which is inevitable really.

In that case it looks like it's probably the better buy.

Really interesting that Tohatsu 9.8 2-stroke... latest model all boxed... the holy grail of all holy grails. Odd thing though. There is more wear and paint loss to the skeg and scuffs to the gearcase leading edge that I see in 40hrs from new on my OBs and he claims under an hour's use.

The Facebook one needs you to be part of that group to see it and I'm not, what is it?
