Ha well we're all only one small snag away from a patch! I'm patch friendly now.
Funnily enough purely from looks that Honda is my least favourite of all OBs for an Aerotec.

Not on ebay, these were in a general village auction yesterday, unfortunately the Facebook algorithm doesn't seem to think I want to see the lots in the auctuon until after the event.
Does that say aerotec?
The engine isn't my cup of tea, but it looks neat enough. I suspect someone got a bargain there.

I visit a small house disposals auction from time to time, a place where stuff sells down to £4 a lot. Something like an Aerotec plus 15hp if not reserved could go for the low hundreds.

A honwave Ali floor for 150 buy it now. A bit grotty, but still cheap.

Forgetting the performance claims that's an old clonker of a motor. Probably 40yrs old, weighs as much as a 15hp 2-stroke, even has a metal tank which were often capable of filling the fuel filter with fine rust particles. It's an engine for a river dinghy really.
As for the Aerotec I note it has "no repairs" yet the transom has been resealed. Hmmm. What's the betting some mystery gunge has been squirted into failing seams meaning cleaning up for the inevitable re-glue will be a nightmare.

Not a SIB but I love this, the layout works for me as well. I know it's not the conventional center console but on a small RIB it's more social sitting next to your passenger.

If only I hadn't invested in my Aerotec......

Please don't take this as a criticism, it's purely for my benefit as I want to know what's right & wrong.
Are the transom wheels ment to be that way round or should the wheels be under the transom?
What are you doing with the OB, transducer and presumably chartplotter /fishfinder?

You are correct! Put them on the wrong way round for the photo! They are installed correctly though.
I've got a Honwave T38 Bought the F-Rib as a spur of the moment thing with a view that I'd use both. In reality since having a baby I don't get out enough to justify keeping them both, but keeping the outboard etc for that. The honwave fits into the car boot a bit better.

Well we often talk of the very slim chance a newer Aerotec will come up and it appears one has as this is a short cone model hence later type.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185425931...IAAOSwgSFigOJI
It's a little unfortunate being partnered with an expensive engine and I reckon the guy is pretty hopeful in expecting to take just a 10% loss on what he paid for it and over-valuing his personal choice of transom wheels... pretty assertive guy too in his final few lines and could be hard to deal with.

I've looked hard at the pictures, but I can't see £600 worth of work on the transom or SS transom wheel mounting plates.
Looks a nice outfit but I think it's probably £1000 - £1200 too much. Might be worth watching though, if it doesn't sell he may reduce it.

That's great, the journey begins. Are you planning to use this from your car, inflate each time you use it? This is my plan, from the garage in a campervan.

I saw this the other day.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155081891...mis&media=COPY
A RIBEYE SIB. Air floor and only 3m. They don't seem to list anything like that on their website. I nearly had a bid at that price. I couldn't find anything about them.
Would it just be generic pvc made under licence in China, or could it by hypalon if made alongside their ribs?
