Interesting a few are coming out of the woodwork. But that's a risky one... made 2000/2001 and the glue is well overdue for peeling.

Red one looks interesting being a 2006 with steering and the OE bow trolley. Wonder what his reserve is... I hate reserves... better just to have the start price where you wanted the reserve.
The grey one I reckon is one of the first years of production and possibly 24yrs old. I'd be very very wary of buying one that old other than as an absolute bargain..

What an absolute steal at £1750. I think the market has turned a big corner for sure.

Looks like he didn’t get the £2k so is dropping it. A lot of kit for the money that maybe not everyone needs/wants

Yes folks are outing stuff at far more sensible prices currently. A very rare chance to get one of the newest regular production run Aerotecs you'll find. A little bit scuffed about and the outboard has some under cowl corrosion that's unusual for a Honda plus a really scabby prop. But yes... a very interesting prospect for one of the last of the Aerotecs with a modern 20hp.

I'm guessing but if you consider a split of OB at £1500 and Aerotec £700 it's about right by the time you've shaved a bit off.

I'm not sure it's a £1500 motor, it's 8 years old and looks well used. Plus, it must be very heavy on that setup.
I have just sold my boat and outboard. Not an aerotec, but I just got 2k after a lot of haggling. This was for a mint 15hp 2 stroke yamaha (holy grail), a yam 310 Ali floor sib, plus fuel tanks, suprod launching wheels, ob lock, battery box, life jackets, anchor & chain, Loads of raliblaza attachments etc.
The market is definitely going down. I might have got close to that just for the engine a year ago.
I think I'll try one of these aerotecs next, but I've a baby to deal with first.

Agree, as a past mahoosive Aerotec fanboy, and owned two in their heyday, great boats.
However, reckon all these overpriced, old, newish unloved offerings are now not the bargain many assume. Sadly their day has passed unless you’ve had a keeper from new or lucky enough to find a very late model minter.
Great boats, best handling sib per se but still have issues re serious splash over transom, narrow deck with steep sided floors and flimsy top hinge along keel line. All tolerable if after ultimate performance. To cap it all glued seams/transoms will fail on older pvc sibs, even premium brands like Bombard (later Zodiac). So beware.
Personally, would now rather spend my hard earned on a new/nearly new current offering for not much more money and not much less handling.

Any make/model in particular chipko? Not that I'm ready for a change yet, but you never know!

Well over priced for a 2001 boat... even including the outboard...

Having also owned a T38 I’d hazard this is probably the most similar handling current model sib to the Aerotec. Although a bit heavier with less pronounced ‘V’ the ride and handling may not be quite Aerotec but also not that far short. With big tubes, meaty transom and deep floor it all feels secure when pushing on, banks in turns, compliant ride in chop and can easily take 20/25 hp motors.
All reminiscent of the Aerotec.

Not for the argument just some chat...
I went for £1500 as one same age and only a tiny bit tidier made £1650 a couple of weeks ago.... and yes they are a bit up on weight but only 3.5kg more than the much favoured "lightweight" modern efi 20hp motors.
>>>flimsy top hinge along keel line
I tried so hard to think what that might have referred to... do you mean the V floor joining flap? We treat ours little different to a hard floor and 7yrs on its never had a problem.
Fully accept the Aerotec is a niche SIB for a niche use but if it works for you every alternative has a downside. I agree the T38.... particularly now with the daft transom flaps deleted... is the nearest choice and has always been my go-to advice for someone wanting an air floor at a good price.
However in comparison to an Aerotec they don't have the ultimate deep V re ability/comfort in a chop... they don't have anywhere for water to go that gets in the boat... and many folks have suffered annoying floor flex because the V is shallow.
I agree though most Aerotecs appearing these days need to be at a very realistic price due to the threat of glue failure... but I'd be totally happy with that 2014 one linked above... patches and all.

I went for an Aerotec and accepted that the transom needed removing and re glueing. It wasn't an easy job but if you can get one at decent price point then I think it's still a good boat if your up for a bit of DIY (some great guides on here).
Tbh the floor was my main concern as once that starts to go it's a difficult thing to repair successfuly although I have repaired a zodiac futura cross stitch floor with some liquid repair (I know your not supposed to) and that worked well for the 2 years I had it.
