Nearly new Elling KB350 and ‘holy grail’ Tohatsu 9.8 spotted on t’other channel.
https://f-ribsandsibs.com/forum/view...hp?f=15&t=5358
Asking top dollar but both pretty rare at the moment.

I wonder why Notebook didn't find the Elling suitable? He asked so many questions on here re buying one and choosing the outboard. A very robust price but with bit of a deal could suit someone, particularly with no hoops to jump through to get a current version of that outboard.

Not on ebay, but gumtree.... I've had to post a screenshot, as (not surprisingly) I missed out on this and the ad has now been taken down.
A very good looking yam 13.5 2 stroke and virtually brand new europa sport air deck, looks like they have been used as a tender. I had never see a 13.5 yam before, it looks like it might have been for the Spanish market. Given that the 9.9 and 15 are the same engine, I guess its just a case of reed valves or throttle restrictor to get it up to 15hp. Someone got a right bargain.....

Not sure what the point is but it's the correct shaft for that boat I think (alu hulled tender) or other small boats (incl some SIBs) taking a long shaft.
That boat alone lists at £4.5k new.

There are a few aerotecs popping up on ebay recently. One of them appears to have the shorter cones at the rear suggesting a later model:

Yes looks interesting. Indeed a short cone but the old style floor and valves so an earlier short cone.... Edit seller says 2011 so that fits.
Bit up on price as I'd say you'd need a mint very latest model for that money.
Edit 2... yep just looked... five on at the moment. Quite like the look of the grey project one needing the floor glue... probably the transom too... but if cheap enough??

I can't help but think that the sellers have read the "which sib" and other threads on here. They are subsequently extolling the virtues and asking top money, but without any mention of the other well known consideration with these boats - the glue. Anyone considering paying 2k plus for one of these (when they can get a brand new honwave for £1200) will surely also be aware of the glue situation. I'd love to know if any of them sell for that kind of money.
The one at auction currently at £800 seems fair, with a decent OB as well. I suspect this will only make about 2k even with an engine, which is less than some of the others are asking without the OB.
May have a bid on the one which needs gluing.

A few years back £150~£200 might have done the transom only and £600 or so a full floor and transom. Wonder what the going price for a complete re glue is? Who would take on the job and any warranty given?

Wish I'd have had a bid. The engine alone must be £800 quids worth, it looked very tidy.

Yes that was a very modest price achieved. Shows the danger of listing an outfit compared to splitting... over and above that an outfit with an OB larger than many would wish to handle. I see the 2011 £1500 one sold quickly, perhaps no surprise.
