Agree that’s a top dollar asking price, and a new one is only a few hundred more. Only problem is you’ll need a very sympathetic dealer to flog you one unless you qualify.

I’ve noticed a few nearly new 9.8’s (some virtually unused and less than a year old) on the market recently, all asking similar high prices, and not moving very quickly. Strange as historically much older pre 2006 jobbies seemed to fly out the door at around the £1200 mark…even pre covid!

Seems a bit on the optimistic side with pricing, mines had the transom done and the floors good with no patches, i would expect £450 for mine,

Hmm think he's been reading one of my threads claiming the weight of 38kg... which is about what I've weighed mine at with the air floor out but that's not how folks normally carry them. Bit shy on pics of the outboard.

From the pictures it looks in very good condition.

I can never understand why transom wheels are fitted the wrong way round on so many SIBs and fribs that you see for sale!

Yamaha 15 2-stroke.

Just noticed this Yamaha 15 on Ebay. A 2003. Tidy but not quite a minter so together with it being season end might come at the right price for an offer.

Has just had a spark plugs, lower unit oil and impeller change service which is a plus.

Being sold by a company that services everything from Aerial Atoms to Ferraris so they should have done it correctly.

Excel Virago 390

Could be a good deal to be negotiated. It's been advertised on ebay a few times

That looks like a decent price.

Not ebay, but a couple of interesting Facebook posts

First up an aerotec with a 15hp 2 stroke. Im not sire what I think of the controls though, seems like a faf. Might be worth more with a tiller.

Second, someone has got lucky with a fire service surplus auction it would seem

The Aerotec outfit does look superb condition but that's a hell of a robust price, particularly at this time of year. I agree for most folks the remotes more trouble than they're worth and one-up that seating position may be too far forward. I see there is a red Aerotec without motor in Pontypool for £650 on Facebook Marketplace too.

The engine looks long on the pics but I can see an S on the plate so must be an illusion, £3k ain't gonna happen , no trailer. Nice engine though , looks clean.

Done a couple of hrs (bought for my dad new, but sadly passed away before he got chance to use it).

Thanks

Looks like the price for the Aerotec and 15hp Yam is a little more realistic now :

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/186271407...mis&media=COPY

I do think it would be better getting rid of the remotes and using the tiller.
