For that one I guess. But tidy the paint (with cans), basic service and prove it runs ok then nearer £1100 this time of year.

Tinker the Aerotec air floors are impossible to find on their own so unless you find one for peanuts with damaged tubes but an OK air floor then I don't see how you'd get it up and running. It's an early one and I reckon I can see the transom seam has some glue/mastic repairs.

Yeah boat looks a bit leggy, worth watching the auction unless he gets an offer he likes

That BAT might work if you happened to luck out on finding a good condition air floor - hens teeth territory?

Then the re glue of it all..

Looks tidy enough, but I'm not sure what you'd do with no floor!

This one also popped up on gumtree. Looks a fair price with the wheels.

Great potential here with a nice old commercial Avon and Mariner: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/176376622...mis&media=COPY

Engine looks clean.....the trailer though..... wouldn't want to tow it 100 yards. Looks like they have used carpet to protect the SIB floor from damage...

If genuine this is very very interesting. A Mk.1 Zodiac with all its kit inc two Milpro fuel bags and a 2017 Yamaha 15hp 2-stroke with 30hrs on it. £2k or offers.

The boat and engine look brand new or very close to it........ the floor looks a bit out of place though, no expert on zodiacs but did they have that 'floor' retainer on the transom, looks a bit like soft wood to me.

Have a look at this thread from 15yrs ago with pics of my Mk.1 in posts 4 & 9. You can see the timber on that Ebay one and mine is the same. Far from softwood they used a hardwood that just had a natural light colour, perhaps birch. They were superbly built in that era, mine was already 35yrs old in those images.

Yes, Hypalon, the fabric on that felt almost indestructible.

I remember that old Zodiac of yours David, they are superb boats, like the old Avons - if looked after they will outlast us all...

Wonder what's in the cleaner , tfr? £15 a bit to rich for me lol.

Looking closer at the avon it looks like it's hardly been used, the badge on the back looks brand new, they usually start to peel.

Sadly though these SIBs to.me defeat the object of having a sib, to heavy and cumbersome to pack away and use from the boot of your car and not seaworthy enough to warrant trailering, why not get a small Rib?

Lovely bit of nostalgia though, if there was a sib museum the zodiac and the Avon would make worthy additions.

I like the old look of them but the wood floor is a worry

Another useful barometer for the state of the market to see where it finishes up £'s wise...
