Regarding the floor .. depending on the condition of it, i may remove it all together and replace it with a marine ply floor, same as the transom... if it needs any work, then ill probably look to replace that too.
If i do look to replace the transom, then i may build extra strength into it, and may look at adding additional bracing for a larger engine.
I would like to run a 40hp if possible on her as im not exactly the lightest passenger ... plus with a family of 4, maybe the extra hp would be a benefit ... failing that, ill look for a 25.
Ok, it will be a bit of a frankinstein boat, but it should be good for a few years of family use for less than £1000.

Sounds like fun.

Going to pick it up this week and assess exactly what state she is in / transom etc. Tubes, I am informed hold air well.
So, Will see what state she is in, and if I can get away with spending no more than what I paid for it to bring it back to life.

Looks like a bargain. Will you open a thread to document the repair?
In my experience the tubes are very robust on zodiacs, it's just the glue. If the floor to tube glue has gone, then the transom is probaly not far behind. It should only cost £100 in glue. I'd fancy that I could do it in a couple of weekends. One to glue the transom and one to glue the floor. Saturday cleaning old glue and prepping and the Sunday glueing.oth times. That'd be my plan anyway, would probably end up taking 6 months 😂

Right, well today was the first time ive managed to get the boat off the front lawn where it was dropped off by my courier (my mate).
Overall, she is in excellent condition. She needs a good clean.
The airfloor holds pressure, but is very dirty and was a swine to clean.
The transom is sound and no signs of movment / becoming unbonded.
The only issue is the seam on the left side has become un-glued from just behind the centre, to the seam on one tube. Aprox 80cm.
There are a few small bits where the trim has started to come away from the top of the tube, but its only 1-2cm.

Looks like a fun project - best to move to a new topic so it does not get lost in here.

Not many of these come up on the used market and currently boat unobtainable new due to the troubles in Ukraine.
Not a cheap deal by any means and an odd combination with small motor and trailer. In fact overpriced if honest.
No connection to this sale but think I recognise all this kit from a long gone member on the other channel. If so, the claim ‘it’s never seen any water’ is accurate.

That's a good spot and interesting. As you hint a very unbalanced outfit. And wow the price. From recent sold prices the trailer is worth £900 at most, the outboard around £300... the Elling I'm going to pitch a value of £1100 maximum so £2300 for all sold individually but you always get less sold as an outfit... and used you have to be prepared for accessories to enhance the sale but not add value.
No disrespect to the seller and good luck to them but offers *over* £3500 is just daft.

Ha ha! Mr F. Waaay overpriced. Your assessment pretty accurate except the virtually unused Suzuki 2.5 perhaps a tad low.
Assuming it’ll never achieve anywhere near that anyway. If after an Elling, which would now retail at £1650 if obtainable, an offer of around/up to £1200 for boat only would be how I would approach it. I’d even consider going up to say £2500 for the package and selling on the bits not wanted if the seller wouldn’t split.

Well I certainly have the edge on some of you in age as in my 70th year, i.e. 69
I could find outdoor space for rib storage but I'm currently building a garage extension to house the crap in the garage so I can get my classic car indoors. I'd also need to get a tow hitch etc etc Is outdoor under tarpaulin storage a sensible option?
