Speed test Honwave T38 ie2 with 15 hp Yamaha 2 stroke

Took the opportunity while her in Scotland to do a speed test on the Honwave

One fat bloke about 8 ltrs of fuel and 2 seats I managed to get a top speed of 20.2 knots. There was no wind and not much tide I could see.

Video below. Sorry the speed bit is on its side but I could not seem to sort that out

Good motors those Mercury/Mariners. Both mine were faultless.

Good speed and good engine, although I've never had the opportunity to try one.

I like the Tohatsu M18 myself, which apparently is almost the same as a Mercury 15 super. I measured 22.5 knots average (going both directions) 2-up on my 3.8m Zodiac Futura. And 20 knots 1-up with a Parsun 15 hp 4-stroke.
