Stolen Aerotec and Tohatsu 20

Nipped to my ex’s today to pick up my boat… to find it’s gone complete with my 20hp Tohatsu 4 stroke, absolutely everything that was stored with it including my 190 auto life jacket, Icom VHF, everything I’ve built up over the years.

She has just got back from holiday so I can only imagine it’s been taken whilst she was away. I’m gutted 😞

I don’t know if it’s insured under the house insurance, been a rough year and I’m living alone elsewhere.

I will put a proper list up but here’s a pic, note that on my last outing I lost the R clip from my launching wheels.. if anyone is offered this setup, please let me know.

Some distinguishing features..

It’s had the transom raised as a lot of us did, and there is a RAM mount for a GPS on the transom

Devastating, have you got the serial numbers? Report to the police, if its found you will need the numbers and the crime number to get it back. Put search watches on ebay, gumtree and market place sit back and wait , my guess is these will surface, probably split.

Gutting.

Was it deflated and packed with all the gear in the same place (garage/shed)? Home CCTV or Ring doorbell info from neighbours can build a picture.

I think it's only the second SIB and kit theft from a house on here in 12yrs or so.

I reckon better than a 50/50 it would be covered under a home policy. Might be tricky if that policy is your Ex's though. There will probably be an excess, maybe raised premiums for some years and as part of paying out insurance may insist locks and security etc are increased on the place.

I will have the numbers somewhere, it’s not had lots of use recently so I suspect that they were looking for my ex’s new boyfriend’s motorcycle and just got lucky.

I’ll put a full list up here for what it’s worth. Literally even took my wetsuit shoes, kids cags and wetsuits 🤷🏼*♂️

Yeah it was all deflated, outboard on a trolley, bow bag and peli cases all together in a locked metal motorcycle shed.

Ah. Very similar to the only previous one I remember, that being all in a shed the owner thought was safe as no-one would know there was a boat stored there. And yes you're probably correct the boat wasn't the initial target.
