I have more than a little experience of cats and inflatables.
  • They LOVE inflatables on trailers, I think because of the elevation and shelter/sun trap thing.
  • Mine (and they are Legion) appear to be able to teleport into an inflatable, without being observed.
  • They don't seem to have much interest in inflated tubes, which is a good thing.
  • They DO like scratching timber uprights and vinyl cushions, so prepare carefully.

Darn it.
I wonder what type of cover could be used, or will they just crawl under it..

Although Cats claws are very sharp I have never known them to puncture rib or sib tubes. They do however like sleeping on boat covers and cause duks that later fill with water when it rains

They'll try! That said, if you make sure the transom area is closed up, they'll struggle. Maybe a drop on riser that sits over the transom. And a stick to keep the cover from sagging.

On the upside, many on here worry about rodent damage to their wintering charges. Not you!
