T32 floor

Does anyone know if the floor of the t32 is prone to flexing at speed like the t38 or with it being shorter is the flexing not there?
My son has the t38 and I like the ease of set up

All I can say is over the past decade there has been a lot of chat on ways of getting flat air floors to behave, the very occasional grumble about the T38 but I'm struggling to remember ever hearing of an issue with a T32.

Yeah my son has the t38 and once it starts to reach 14 to 15mph the floor starts to take the swell shape.
I do like the build quality compared to boatworld and the ease of inflation of the floor so thinking of getting the t32 for myself.

I must say if we decided to go a bit smaller I’ve always thought the T32 a safe buy.

What is this "swell shape"? I have a 3.2m Boatworld with air floor, only a 2.5hp engine and thinking about upgrading to a 6hp or a 9.9hp or whatever the "10"hp is exactly.

Do I not want to get something that will put me over 15mph with that boat?

When it's on the plane the floor can 'ripple' with the sea swell and ripples. I'm guessing it's due to the length of the 38's floor

After talking to two separate suppliers, it seems it's only the t38 who's floor is prone to flexing due to the sheer length

No Jon, it's down to the length of the SIB, pressure of the floor, weight distribution, water conditions. Don't get to hung up on it. It may happen, it may not, it may happen once or twice and then never again.

Cheers Steve. What was the purpose of that epoxy covered ply piece of wood again please? It went between the air floor and boat base right?

Different type of Sib.

Tommy is talking about a "V" hull Honwave which doesn't have a flat airdeck and sausage keel like my sib.

Some (I don't think many) who have a T38 Honwave have experienced a deformation of the V hull under certain conditions, swell of water pushing up under the hull??

The anchor shaped epoxy ply is to replace the keel boards (one of which I cracked) that are supplied with some flat airdeck sibs. They are suppose to eliminate airbubble build up under the "hull", which some appear to suffer more than others.

I have the Honwave T38 and it is very good we have had the floor flex thing a few times but it is no real issue. The ease of assembling the Air v floor honwaves is the main reason for buying them. This ease of setting up and packing away can mean the difference between going boating or not
