There is a camp site on the way into Teignmouth, not on the beach but has access to the estuary (tidal slipway) which is about 2 miles form the beach.

Pentewan is on a beach, Penmarlem (Fowey) has it's own pontoons. With a sib, I'd be tempted to go for a bit of wild camping. There must be plenty of places around the Tamar or Turnaware bar on the Fal is excellent if a little busy at times.

Probably outside your range, but we have to listen BBC Radio Cornwall so maybe not that far out...
The campsite on Alderney is a hundred yards from the island's most glorious beach and on the edge of the harbour limits too. With a capable SIB you would have the run of Braye Bay.

Eh, Watch it! I wake up to James Churchfield and Pam Spriggs every morning. It's a 'high brow' mix of local current affairs and utter drival.
It does include the shipping forecast and a coastguard round-up.

How about Scotland? Camp site at Loch Lomond has its own slipway. Since "right to roam" you are free to land on any of the islands. See the wallabies on Inchconnan!
