Left for my Hols on Saturday to the IOW, Got the SIB, Got the engine, double checked that I had everything, got of the ferry and realised I forgot the hose and Muffs! I didn't really want to leave the OB sitting with salt water in until I got back so after 2 brilliant days SIBing I hunted around for a big enough bucket or bin and couldn't find anything suitable. Then I remembered that thanks to ribnet I picked up one of them massive dry bags from Aldi or lidl for a tenner that I haven't found a use for yet. Worked a treat.

Thats why they say.."Its in the Bag" then ? :-D

Im sure the engine would be fine for a week or two without being flushed..moored boats have to put up with it and their outboards seem to last..but Im like you in that I like to flush mine whenever possible.

Could have made an interesting U Tube video if you put the engine in gear though :-D

Thanks mate.

Had two good days but I think that's all I'm going to get as the winds picking up now.

Would be good to get another trip planned before the end of the season.
